FOOTSTEPS OF THE AGE OF AQUARIUS

DENIZ AKKAYA

While it is known that the movements of planets affect many natural events on earth, it isn’t so radical to believe that we, whose body is 60% water, are also affected by these movements.

Astrology divides history and time into “great ages”, following the progression of the equinoxes through the constellation stars that make up the signs. The equinoxes remain in each of the horoscopes for just over 2000 years. The horoscope in which they are located in this process, astrologically, has a critical impact on world civilizations and cultures. Although astrology may seem like a concept that is difficult to understand and reason, it is quite scientific.

The age we’re about to come out of is the age of Pisces. To understand this sentence thoroughly, it is necessary to first look at the issues represented by Pisces. We have seen the rise of Christianity and Islam in the Age of Pisces, which took place over the last 2000 years. It is by no means coincidence that some astrologers date the beginning of the Pisces age to the birth of Jesus and the emergence of religions in which faith, peace, and universal love are at their core. Also, the fact that one of the first symbols of Christianity being a fish seems to be much more than a coincidence. The astrological ages have a direct impact on the course of humanity. Given the corresponding period, this was a process in which we, as humanity, evolved under the Piscean principles. Evolution always involves some kind of change, and change always brings tension. We always see an example of this in historical events around the world.

We saw the first human settlements, agriculture, and villages in the age of Cancer, the discovery of writing and the wheel in the age of Gemini, and the conquests and the expansionist policies of the powers of the era in the age of Aries… So, if we saw the power of religion and other ideologies in the age of Pisces, and they controlled the world; when and what can we expect from the age of Aquarius?

Aquarius is much more than technology. Aquarius is also related to society. About two hundred years ago, we entered the age of social revolution. Independence, liberation, and freedom of thought are essential parts of the “enlightenment”. Everything up until the American and French Revolutions, the cultural revolution of the 1960s and 70s, heralded the booming of the Aquarian age. So we’re not there yet?

The importance of 2020 was predicted hundreds of years ago by the Maya and many other advanced civilizations. Because this year will act as a borderline between past and future. With the end of the transition period from Pisces to the Aquarian age, we are now living a year in which we should consider ourselves lucky to witness, although we believe otherwise very rightfully so.

So why does the age of Aquarius bring revolutions with it?

Aquarius is ruled by Uranus and is the planet of revolution. We can say that we have witnessed all kinds of revolutions over the last few hundred years; agricultural, industrial, social, cultural, technological… The concept of the process of change itself represents Aquarius. We’re not talking about a simple change. The Aquarius revolution is a type of change that makes possible what we previously thought was impossible. We’re talking about the arrival of a “new normal” that we’ve heard a lot about in recent months. Essentially Aquarius is about” new.” Therefore, revolution, rebellion, and shocking events are as likely as authenticity, progress, and innovation. No matter what the age of Aquarius brings us, one thing is certain: the past is behind us, and we need to find new ways of existing that affect every aspect of our lives. The new age may be about change, but what matters will be how we respond to it and how we change ourselves in the years to come.

Already, We see revolts against authority and changes in the structure of authority in many countries. What the age of Aquarius implies is that our revolutions can have unexpected consequences.

In their closest encounter since 1623, Jupiter and Saturn will appear as a single star in the evening sky this month. When Jupiter and Saturn merge, that is, when they have the same correct ascension or celestial longitude, it is called a “great reunion” because, unlike reunions with other planets, these two do not come together very often. The next “great reunion” is very, very soon: December 21, 2020!

People have been talking about the birth of the age of Aquarius for decades, and many astrologers believe that the “great reunion” on December 21, 2020, is the cosmic event that officially heralds the age of Aquarius. On this date, Jupiter and Saturn, the two largest planets in the solar system, will align in the sign of Aquarius for the first time in nearly 400 years! But the energy these planets will express in an air sign like Aquarius will be greatly different from the traditional and authoritarian vibration they reveal in Capricorn, where they are positioned at the beginning of the year around the time when the pandemic started. This great reunion will also ignite the beginning of many new advances in technology, medicine, and ideas. However, since Aquarius symbolizes humanity, the main theme will be societies and communities. Throughout 2020 we have seen rebellions of oppressed communities. We’ve heard the footsteps of the age of Aquarius through the outcry of the oppressed and have analyzed these events for you. Stay tuned for Episode 1.
