1.HOME ALONE

The movie Home Alone, written by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus, begins with Kevin, whose family was on vacation to France, accidentally forgotten at home. Realizing that he is left alone in the house, Kevin realizes that he will have to protect his house against thieves, and he does his best to do so!

2 sequels were also shot after the original movie garnered great attention. I mean, if you can’t get enough of this sweet movie, you can watch the sequels!

2.WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING

Sandra Bullock plays Lucy, the young woman who works at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) token booth. She is in love with Peter, who takes the train from her station everyday. One day Peter falls on the tracks and Lucy rescues him. However, Peter fell into a coma. A nurse mistakenly identifies Lucy as Peter’s fiancé.  One day, when Peter’s brother Jack comes out, the real problem arises. Lucy and Jack have become irresistibly in love with each other.

While You Were Sleeping is a movie that’s not afraid of optimism, and that’s what makes it so appealing!

3.THE POLAR EXPRESS

Director Robert Zemeckis brought Chris Van Allsburg’s illustrated children’s classic to the big screen with a dazzling blend of surrealism and 20th century romance. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film is mostly voiced by Tom Hanks. We definitely recommend that you check out this magical movie.

4.CAROL (2015)

The movie, directed by Todd Haynes, whom we know with productions such as Far From Heaven, I’m Not There, was adapted from the novel of Patricia Highsmith. Starring Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett, Carol has the dream life that everybody wants, but she is unhappy in her marriage. One day she meets Therese, an attendant at the store, and the duo fall in love on a road trip they take together. However, this love has no place in both 1950s America and Carol’s circle.

5.TANGERINE (2015)

Set in a single day and shot entirely on an iPhone, the film is about a series of misfortunes that happen to Sin-Dee and Alexandra who work as prostitutes. Two friends go for a trip to find Sin-Dee’s boyfriend, who broke her heart, on Christmas day. Directed by Sean Baker, the film features Kitana Kiki Rodriguez, Mya Taylor and Karren Karagulian in the lead roles.

6.LOVE, ACTUALLY

Written and directed by Richard Curtis, the film stars Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson and Keira Knightley. “Love, Actually” tells ten different love stories that take place in London as Christmas approaches.

7.MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS (1944)

St. Louis 1903. The Smith family has 4 beautiful daughters, including Easter and little Tootie. Easter, 17, fell in love with John, who had just moved into the apartment next door. BayA The whole family is shocked when Mr. Smith transfers to a better position in New York. Because that means The family has to leave St. Louis.

8.THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Tim Burton’s iconic film The Night Before Christmas is a an animated musical film. This movie, which is made with stop motion technique as well as being animation, draws attention with its gothic vibes. Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is tired of traditional Christmas celebrations and wants to make the celebrations more fun. But this puts Santa in danger, and Christmas becomes a nightmare for young children.

9.IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946)

Because of the overlapping events, businessman George Bailey is on the verge of suicide and goes to throw himself off the bridge. Just then, a ‘guardian angel’ named Clarence appears and decides to play a little game with George to dissuade George from commiting suicide. The angel shows George his old life and George sees the way the people in his life would have lived if they had never met George. As a result of this extraordinary experience, George understands how many people he has helped because of his good intentions, and realizes the value of his life. Frank Capra’s masterpiece is one of the most beautiful films in the world. The production, which makes every viewer feel good, is shown on many channels all over the world every New Year’s Eve due to the positive vibes it gives.

10.THE GRINCH (2000)

Christmas is a favorite holiday of the residents of Whoville. All townspeople care about is buying other people beautiful gifts. Looking at this town from the top of Crumpit Mountain, the Grinch hates Christmas and questions why these poor people look so stupid. All he wants is to make them regret that they are waiting for Christmas. The Grinch will do everything he can to carry out his plan to ruin Christmas!
