Dakota Johnson is getting ready to please everyone, literally.

Coming off the release of The Lost Daughter earlier this month, Dakota Johnson is returning her focus to other ventures. The actress best known for her role in the Fifty Shades series recently became a brand ambassador for Gucci, but her sense of fashion extends beyond clothes.

In a recent interview with ELLE, Johnson talked about how she got involved making sex toys with an upstart company looking to change the industry.

Writing on Instagram of her new endeavour, Johnson said, “Sexual wellness is a fundamental human right. Maude’s ethos is something I strongly support, and is symbiotic with my core beliefs surrounding sexual health.” Maude, which was initially founded by CEO Eva Goicochea in 2018, offers a line of stylish, discrete vibrators, organic condoms, vegan body massage candles and compostable personal care wipes.

“The caliber and aesthetic of these products is excellent and elevated, and I love them,” Johnson continued. “I am truly delighted to come on board… to weave sustainability and awareness/education based initiatives into the fabric of the company, while delivering beautiful and quality sexual wellness products, accessible to all humans.”

The actor was enamored by the mission founder Éva Goicochea has for Maude, a sexual wellness company that values inclusivity and accessibility. As creative director, Johnson enjoys challenging the status quo and creating innovative new sex toys, while exploring “the most pleasurable and chic and quality experience” the products can provide for women.

As a creative director in the world of sexual wellness, Johnson offers a perspective that highlights an important truth: sexual energy and creative energy go hand in hand, and the industry should continue to reflect that.
