His journey into filmmaking was born out of his interest in travel and lifestyle content, but gradually evolved into documentaries and narrative films. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Working on joint projects with Apple, Unilever x Chelsea FC, Tony’s Chocolonely and many more, the photographer believes that Africa’s story remains untold largely due to the emerging African film industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David founded Beautiful Stories, a production company, with the goal of representing Africa in the right light that the media has failed to do so for so many years. The aim of Beautiful Stories is to show the world that Africa has a beautiful timeless culture and that Africans are strong, proud, resilient and have a strong bond that cannot be broken no matter what.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David’s passion for travel meets the art of his extensive filmmaking. When he was a student at Ashesi, David got a camera to shoot a video of his classroom project, and he shot his first short documentary, To Be Ghanaian In London, while visiting London to see his brother in the summer of 2018. The short film explores Ghanaian identity from a diaspora perspective; commuting, going out at night, and enthusiastic weddings…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
